About Me
Welcome, I’m Miranda Lynn Vander Werff!
Have you ever struggled with a healthy lifestyle? Are you confused as to which program will work for you to help you get to and maintain a healthy weight?
After we adopted our 4th child I found myself in this exact situation. I had gotten busier and I just didn’t take as much time as I needed for myself. I also increased my portion sizes and stopped exercising. My weight started creeping up until I found myself the heaviest I had ever been, and that includes through two pregnancies. Leggings coming into style didn’t help matters and before I knew it I could no longer fit into my favorite pair of jeans!
Back in 2012 I had gotten to a healthy weight, but I failed to maintain it. So in 2017 I was cautious of the same thing happening and I was even afraid to begin the process because I was afraid I would fail. I could tell I wasn’t feeling very great and my heart would start racing at night. This was my wake up call to finally start again and do something about my health. This is when I found a friend who had success with her weight loss and I started asking her questions. Through support and healthy meal choices I am now on my way back to a healthy weight, but also training my body how to eat smaller portion sizes more often. I’m not just working on how much and what I am eating, but I’m making other changes that also have improved my health and sleep.
I’m a busy mom of 4 very energetic kids! I want to be there for them and watch them grow and learn. I want to set a good example and teach them how to live a healthy and happy life so that they don’t make the same mistakes that I have. I have a wonderful supportive husband, named Justin. If you know him you know he’s pretty much amazing at everything and I have jokingly gave him the hashtag #SupermanPhD.
I’m glad you’re here and joining me on my journey to a happy, healthy, and hopeful way of living! Join me as I share moments on my journey, review recipes, give updates as I strive to lose 75 pounds, and work at changing my habits so that I will be able to maintain my weight once I reach my goal!
